Long Time Comin’
Russian Imperial Stout
Pitch black and intimidatingly opaque, the first glance of Long Time Comin’ is as compelling as the first sip. Initial aroma is sweet dark fruit that leads into a center of chocolate covered cherry with a hint of lightly charred oak. Fresh stonefruit dominates the first sip, giving way to notes of leather, oak and cream. A slight roasty quality of light cocoa, smoke and mocha combines with a hint of tartness in a cozy, warming body that stops just short of heat. The texture is pure silk, and the mouthfeel is robust and vinous.
With a beer this unique and special, it’s hard to commit to a second round – but with Long Time Comin’ there’s something staggeringly seductive that irresistibly coaxes you towards just one more. . .
